OTAP1341 : Clinical Conditions I
This course examines the etiology, clinical processes, and prognosis of common physical, mental, developmental, and orthopedic conditions and their impact on occupational performance. Emphasis is placed on understanding how disease and illness affect individuals, families, and society across contexts. Students explore the influence of sociocultural and socioeconomic factors on occupational engagement and apply occupational therapy frames of reference to understand functional implications. Advocacy considerations related to reducing barriers to occupational participation are also addressed.
