The school was established in 1979 as Control Data Institute. In 1985, Hi-Tech Corp. acquired the school, and it became the Memphis Institute of Technology. Concorde Career Colleges, Inc., purchased the school in November 1988. In 1989, the name changed to Concorde Career Institute.
Concorde began focusing on allied healthcare occupations. The Medical Assistant program was first offered in 1990, and the Medical Office Professional program was added in 1991. In 1995, the Dental Assisting program was added to the curriculum, followed by the Pharmacy Technician program in April 1997. A Nurse Aide Training program was added in October 1998 and a Respiratory Therapy program in March 2000, making Concorde Career Institute a total allied healthcare instructional facility.
Approval to grant an Associate of Applied Science in Respiratory Therapy, Medical Assisting, Dental Assisting, Medical Office Professional, and Pharmacy Technician was received in 1999. As a result, the name changed to Concorde Career College. In 2002, Concorde received approval to offer Massage Therapy. In 2003, Surgical Technology was approved. A Dental Hygiene program was approved in 2008, and a Physical Therapist Assistant program was approved in 2009. In 2010, Concorde received approval to offer Radiologic Technology. In 2011, Concorde received approval to offer Occupational Therapy Assistant. Nursing, and Polysomnographic Technology were introduced in 2012.
In 2013, a branch campus opened in Southaven, Mississippi.
In 2020, approval for the Neurodiagnostic Technology and Surgical Technology Associate of Applied Science degrees were received.
Portland, Oregon
The school was founded in 1966 as Computer Career Institute. In April 1985, Concorde Career Colleges, Inc., acquired the school. Shortly thereafter, allied health programs were added, and the existing computer-related curriculum was phased out. In 1989, the school’s name changed to Concorde Career Institute. The school relocated to the Hollywood District in 1990. In September 2004, the school moved to its present location. In December 2009, the school changed its name to Concorde Career College. In 2021, the school became a branch of Concorde Career College, Memphis, Tennessee.
