OTAP1112 : Fieldwork Level I Clinical B

This course builds upon foundational occupational therapy concepts introduced in prior Level I fieldwork experiences by applying them within pediatric practice contexts. Paired with pediatric didactic coursework, students engage in structured Level I fieldwork activities that emphasize typical and atypical development, play, learning, and family-centered care. Level I fieldwork experiences are delivered through instructional methods, such as virtual and simulated environments, standardized patients, faculty-led experiences, and/or supervised practice activities, to ensure all students meet shared learning objectives. The course emphasizes increased contextual application, reflective practice, professional behaviors, and introductory research-informed inquiry related specifically to pediatric fieldwork and clinical experiences.
