OTAP2310 : Occupational Therapy in Emerging and Specialty Areas of Practice

This course examines the roles and functions of occupational therapy practitioners across medical, educational, community, and emerging areas of practice. Emphasis is placed on understanding occupational therapy roles within community based, non traditional, and specialty practice settings that are predicted to expand in the future. Students explore ethical considerations, professional advocacy, and current trends through case discussion, review of professional literature, and analysis of innovative service delivery models.
