HPRS1320 : Foundations for Health Professionals
Foundations for Health Professionals introduces students to the foundational medical terminology essential for success in healthcare programs and future coursework in anatomy and physiology. Emphasis is placed on terminology related to body systems, diseases, procedures, and diagnostics. In addition to building a strong medical vocabulary base, this course supports overall student success by teaching essential college readiness skills. Topics include time management, effective study strategies, critical thinking, goal setting, and navigating academic resources. Finally, this course introduces students to the foundational workforce skills identified by Concorde as essential to their workforce readiness, setting the stage or the remainder of their academic and professional journey.
